What speed will I get with wireless Internet?
Our modem works by “requirement”, meaning that the more speed you require the more speed you we be assigned by our “smart antenna”. Speeds vary depending upon signal quality at your location. The modem is capable of 2 mbps down load and 1 mbps upload. Upload is restricted to 256kbps.

Are you my ISP or do I still need to keep my provider account?
We are an ISP. This means you can cancel your dial-up account and the extra phone line used for connection. We provide internet accounts for email upon request.

Do you provide Web Hosting services for hosting personal pages?
With each residential account, we will provide personal Web space for hosting site at no extra charge.

I have my own domain, can you host my email and/or website?
Yes. Just contact our sales department to request rates.

What equipment do I need in my house to connect to the Internet?
We provide everything to bring the signal into the house as well as a single network cable installation to your PC or MAC. You will need to have an Ethernet Card in your computer or connect via Ethernet to your network.

How many IP addresses do I get?
Each subscriber gets a single public Internet Routable IP address.

Can I have a fixed IP address?
Yes, for an additional $15.00 per month.

Can I hook multiple computers up to the service?
Yes, our modem is network ready. All you need is to connect our modem to your router. (Wireless or LAN)

How much do routers cost?
They start at around $50? Prices vary depending upon your requirements.

How long does it take to get service?
We offer installation within 24 hours. However, most of the time installation is done “on the spot” within hours of your phone call or Internet subscription.

Will the service degrade as you put more customers on the wireless network?
We expand our circuit capacity as our demand for bandwidth grows.

Can I host a web server on this service?
Yes, but residential pricing does not permit the hosting of commercial web sites.

Are there any health risks associate with microwave signal?
No, we run at ½ -1 watt of power at your location using directional antennas that focus their energy away from your house towards the tower.

What frequency do you operate on?
We use the FCC license free 2.4Ghz frequency.

Are there any recommendations to reduce interference?
We recommend that if you use household products such as cordless phones, they should be 900 Mhz, or 5.8 Ghz. Phones that use 2.4 Ghz spread spectrum frequencies may cause interference.

How are your installations configured?
We have qualified wireless Internet consultants that professionally install once the customer signs up. Professional installation is included.

Can I have access through my PC card or wireless unit?
Oflanet is not a hot spot. We are the actual ISP. PC cards or wireless units are used for wireless networks. However, you may connect our service to your wireless router (Access Point) and distribute thought your home or office and use your PC card to receive the signal.

If I refer your service to a friend can I benefit?
Yes. Just ask our sales department for details.

What is your covered area?
At the moment our coverage extends to the City of Doral. We have plans for expansion to all of Miami Dade and Broward County in the very near future.
